Mini-Arcade Games
When I was little, I loved to play the Pac-Man machine. I’d use up all my coins valiantly trying to evade those sneaky ghosts and power-up with all the pretzels, fruit, and blinking lights I could eat. Needless to say, it sent me on a major nostalgia trip when I found out that Big J.W., a “video game crafter,” hand-makes arcade cabinet miniatures, incredibly detailed wooden reproductions of the classics. Aside from my beloved Pac-Man, he makes Donkey Kong, Galaga, Dragon’s Lair, and all the other games you remember from back in the day. He can even customize a cabinet for you if your favorite game isn’t in stock. The miniatures aren’t actually functional–no need to empty out your piggy bank–but they are pretty gorgeous. Stick a few of them on your desk and your computer monitor might get jealous!
