Mario Kart on the Wii Crashes into NYC
Back in April a big promotion for Mario Kart took place in NYC. A person dressed in a Mario promotional mascot costume stood in front of the Sheraton Hotel near Times Square and hailed cabs for pedestrians. Nintendo even chipped in $10 for cab fare.
And who wouldn’t stop for the Red and Blue plumber from Brooklyn. Tying in the speeding cars in the Mario Kart game to the taxi cabs of NYC was really an ingenious idea.
